This website documents the work done during two post-doctoral mobility projects supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation.
These are the following (click on the links for a thorough overview of each):
- PROJECT 1: The fine structure of Romance interrogative it-clefts.
- PROJECT 2: Different types of focus in diachrony: Formal and typological variations.
I politely invite you to read about project 1 and its findings before moving to project 2, since a proper understanding of the latter can only be achieved once the basic theoretical and empirical assumptions of the former are clear.
It is my intention to continue my work on clefts and focalisations, and especially the establishment of Focus!, beyond the duration of these two projects. For this, I am currently looking for additional funding: do not hesitate to contact me if you are interested in supporting my enterprise.
